Downloading a Digital Aerial Photograph

How to download a purchased image
Once you have purchased an image for which you have chosen the digital download option, you are allocated several days and a number of attempts at downloading the image. There are two ways of accessing the images you have purchased:

At Checkout
When you complete your purchase, a link is provided on the screen informing you that your order has been successfully processed.In order to start the download, you just need to click on the link, circled below in red:

Either right-click on this link and choose 'save as...' from the menu, or left-click in which case the following box will appear:

You are advised to always choose 'save' from this box. Choosing 'open' will just result in your default image viewer (probably browser) attempting to open the image and in many cases, the full resolution images are too large for a browser to handle.

Once you click 'save', you will be prompted for a location in which to save the image on your computer:

The image will then begin to transfer and the progress indicated. Picture Research Solution allows a number of retries within a certain period to ensure that you can still access the image should you lose your internet connection whilst downloading.

And that's it. You can now open the image using a suitable image manipulation tool, such as Photoshop or Paintshop Pro.

From My Account
Should you need to download the image after leaving the Checkout, the download is still available within the 'My Account' section. Simply click on the 'My Account' link at the top of every page and view your order. A link is provided to your download at the bottom of the page (circled in red).

From this point on, the process is exactly as illustrated in the 'At Checkout' section above.
